Temperature Range: 35-80 degrees Celsius - Please note temperature is indicative only and should be verified with a secondary thermometer. The melter should be adjusted if the temperature is too high or low.

A Thermo plug is a power control device with a thermometer built in. You place the thermometer in the wax, when the thermometer reached the set temperature (for instance 60C) the power will shut off. when the thermometer reaches the second temperature (59C) it will turn back on, keeping your wax between 59-60C

Our wax melters have not one, but two thermostat controls The one on the main body, and the external thermostat which offers a more accurate reading of the actual wax temperature within the melter.

The user must take into account that all thermostats have a tolerance of temperature readings, which may mean the wax temperature may be a some degrees different to that shown on the external or vessel thermostat (usually within 5 degrees but on occasion higher) . This is normal, and the user should test thermostat settings to ensure their own required wax temperature is reached.

User should take into account that latent residual heat will cause the wax temperature to continue to lift even after the vessel heat band is switched off by either thermostat. This may mean the user should set their temperature lower than the desired temp if burning may be an issue.

If using the external Thermoplug, set the temperature on the Thermoplug to your required melt temperature as per the instrucsons, and the video support on our website. The thermostat on the wax melter itself should be set to maximum as the external Thermoplug will be controlling the actual working temperature of the wax.

Please remember, that although the Thermoplug is highly accurate, even when it switches the heat band off, latent heat within the wax melter wall may increase the temperature of the wax by a few degrees. This is normal and something the user must take into considerason. Consider setting your temperature 10 degrees lower for initial testing and then raising slowly until the preferred temperature is achieved.

Returns Policy
We will only accept returns and offer refunds for faulty wax melters, if confirmed by our testing.

Any returns postage - including cost will be the users responsibility, and can be refunded if a faulty wax melter diagnosis is agreed by SimplyScented

If the user simply has changed their mind, we will fully refund on receipt of the wax melter (carriage costs borne by the user), in an unused resalable condition with all ancillary equipment present, unused, including any sets of fragrance oils, and in its original box. All refunds must be requested and Wax Melter returned to SimplyScented within 30days.

Why we designed the Simply Scented Melter 3.0

Let me start by saying that I, like many of you also started my journey making wax melts over the kitchen hob - I feel your pain!

It became obvious pretty quickly that i was spending WAY too much time watching small amounts of wax melt and not enough time doing all the other jobs that running a small business requires.

We tried other wax melters and well they were either incredibly expensive or they didnt work very well.

Here's what we learnt.

Wax melters with a wattage of 800 or above melt the wax too fast and can cause them to burn.

So we made ours 400w

Melters that have a bottom mounted element can burn the wax especially if it has set and has to be re-melted.

So we put our heating ring in the middle.

And finally we wanted to make sure that the temperature remained as stable as possible. So we added a secondary measure to keep everything on track!
